Jealous; guard your secrets
don't give them all away
Just little, tiny bits
small pieces every day...
Dreams of newer places
scenes I've not seen before
I see different faces
opening other doors
Things I can only imagine
No one seems to know
where these things are happening
Yet, I've a yen to go
Sugarfoot: my mother called it
Didn't understand just why
"Don't put that foot down, my son
unless, you're sure it's dry"
Because once you get it wet
No more roaming, seeking fun
I think you will regret it
The roaming will be done
When you get pinned
Like the donkey
On the walls of sin,
Remember this key,
Choose it wisely~
Be set free
Throw away dis-ease
Be the key
Not the lock-ness monster.
When people pin you down
Get back up and dust off,
Never give up trying to own,
Ever be your own true self.
Be true freedom,
Throw away fake views,
Be the door
Through which love comes after.
She has slender hands,
They caress with care.
Her skin, soft and tanned.
Wild like a horse mane flows her hair.
Piercing and deep is her gaze.
As a moon lit ocean crashes its waves,
my heart stops when I hear her breathe.
Perfectly curved her body lays,
Like sunset; on lazy desert days.
Shall I tell the truth
what would you like to hear?
I'll tell you a bedtime story
allay your greatest fear
The notion that the truth
is always better than a lie
It might be truth itself
but, even so, you'll cry
Why did you wait to ask me
what my intentions were?
Could it be you didn't care
while I was rubbing fur?
I don't want to cause you sorrow
or ruin the make-up on your eyes
Smear the blush or muss your hair
soooo just a little lie
Vague memories of a noble steed
and the paladin I was
My horse was of a humble birth
I rode for justice' cause
He reared way up, hooves a flying
against the country dawning sky
There in the distance, the quarry
The proverbial, wanted bad guy
We raced along the grasslands
We dodged bullets and I hung low
Caught the bad guy and I jumped him
He drew his gun, but way too slow
I socked him in his jaw
and we tussled all around
he tried to hit me with a rock
that he found upon the ground
Who knows what evil lurks
in the closet dark and musty?
I think it must be kin to
underneath the bed all dusty
When the door is open
and the dark holds sway
I cover up my head
and pray for light of day
The squeak of dried out hinges
gives me chills and pause
I think of all those evil things
with fangs and sharpened claws
From just inside the door
in the nightlight glowing dim
I see some lit up eyes
Oh Lord, it must be him!
Anxiously gazing around the room I can't help but realize everybody is bonding, everybody but ME,
But it's nothing I'm new to it's always a new day the same story hoping people will start seeing me differently.
I can't help but overhear everyone's thoughts about me
shall I say they are so quick to judge?
They've never cared to actually get to know me or my personal story.
Yes, I've heard about the soldiers
the ones who went and died
About the ones on foreign shores
and for them I've cried
Yet, there are other souls
that have died here in our land
The ones who have died for nothing
those who've died by teflon hands
It ain't about the flag
Not about our boys at war
Don't make it 'bout that stuff
'Cause you know what it's for
