Tales Of Ancient Greece : Reflection
Your beauty stuns all who see you,
Your eyes are shy and filled with secrets,
A slight blush in your cheeks,
Tells of a blossoming love in your heart,
New and fragile,
Like flower buds in spring,
Ready to burst forth with color,
Exuding heavenly fragrance,
Enticing the lover,
Are you ready for the eternal green,
Of the Elysian Fields of passion,
Where I shall rain upon you rose petals ,
While I drape your body,
With the starry night sky,
A peaceful abode for our love,
I will have the sun and moon bow to you,
The mountains will crumble in awe and jealousy of us,
I can sense you wanting to speak,
To unburden your soul,
As you glance at me,
Your eyes filling with tears,
How could this love not be,
How could it be lost,
In the ocean of doubt,
The doubt that you carry,
That the gift of your heart,
Will not be enough,
But then our eyes fully meet,
So I find my courage,
And my voice,
To free my every thought,
Every fear,
Every want,
And speak the truth,
Of tender words to you,
Opening the gates of heaven,
Where we shall live forever,
"I love you",
Narcissus says sweetly to himself,
As he peers lovingly at his reflection,
In a pool of water,
That would become his tomb.

hello C Wolf,
"I love you",
Narcissus says sweetly to himself,
As he peers lovingly at his reflection,
In a pool of water,
That would become his tomb.

Narcissus
He was into himself wasn’t he. How’d that work out in the story? Not great for him. In the real world I find people who are given to narcissistic abuse of others don’t really pay as heavy a toll; especially considering all the damage they do to their interpersonal relationships. They never turn into f**cking daffodils. More like a 5 year old with an excavator tearing up everything so they can appear tough and useful while they’re damaging everything in site. It’s in us all but there are just so many who don’t realize or don’t care.
Clearly the point of this myth has been lost to many.
