Ebb

Today I am low
Predominant
Is the ebb
Of my soul

The prosaic,
leaden, sapless,
Is in vile display.

How can I find
the strength this day?
How can I care?

And caring
How could I do?

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

The poem "Ebb" effectively conveys a sense of emotional depletion and introspection. The use of imagery such as "ebb of my soul" and "prosaic, leaden, sapless" effectively captures the feeling of being drained and struggling to find motivation. The repetition of questions like "How can I find the strength this day?" and "How can I care?" adds to the contemplative tone of the poem. However, the poem could benefit from further development of these themes to provide more depth and insight into the speaker's emotional state. Consider expanding on the reasons behind the feelings of depletion and exploring potential sources of strength or renewal. Additionally, refining the structure and flow of the poem could enhance its impact on the reader.

A piece that tells much in few words.
The possibility of finding strength and care in a crazy world that but strengthens weary feelings.
I especially like the use of "the ebbing soul"
in juxtaposition with "leaden" and "the sapless"
Very evocative!
