Crayon Lines

Where is my line?

What is you?
What is me?

Where is the threat?
Where do I step?

My lines get drawn in crayon.

Dancing With Rabbits

A wriggled nose invitation
To dance into myself.
A shout of joyous salvation

Dappled skin;
What a grin!

With a slant and a sway
The happy whiskers
Carry me away.

She's An Animal... [Neopoet Random Challenge #7]

She was such an animal
She took away my heart
She ate it up with relish
She had me from the start

Eyes of brown and curly-haired
Snuggles every night
She kissed me with abandon
Everything I did was right

We swam in the lake and partied
I held her, oh so close
Breakfast every morning
We ate berry-jam on toast

One day she up and left me
I was stunned beyond belief
I remember quite distinctly
My heart was full of grief

Rejoice

Rabbit.
Knows how to leap
To grass where my muse creates.
Be my forever dance partner.
Let's play.

Saint

Bloody red,
Darling loves,
Screw this bed,
Kill those doves,

Lie to the sun,
Eat her rays,
Do not run,
Down in a blaze,

Raise your fist,
Draw your weapon,
Get lost in the list,
Don’t step in,

Sharper nails,
Wicked mind,
Weed these trails,
Kill the blind,

Shallow grave,
Running river,
Do attempt a save,
Take that giver

Do I detect,
A bleeding soul,
You seem wrecked,
Fall deeper in that hole,

Invisible Heart...

The longing in his eyes is obvious
She doesn't know his side-long glances
How can she be so blind and miss
He keeps giving her, so many chances

His heart pounds and skips a beat
Her brush of slender hand is wild!
She's looking down at her feet
He's feeling like a bumbling child

Oh, fates and gods, please have a heart
Touch her mind and let her know
He won't trust his lips, for his part
She can't tell him that she loves him so

Stumbling Blocks... [Stretching Wings Workshop]

Come with us
Let's play
"I'm tired"

Breathing harder
little things
like oxygen

Left alone
worn out with excess
Watching from the side-lines

Days of working out
to days of out of working
and not keeping up,
Empty wallet and soul

It's okay, he convinces himself
"I'm still important"
but it weighs on him
and makes him feel alone

Hop-toads... [Haiku for Stretching wings workshop]

Hoppy-toads, old frogs
Swim forever in their youth
Ignorance is bliss
.

Rhyme for Stretching Wings Workshop.
.

Born To Be Wild
I float upon stormy seas
Forever in my youth
Can't bring me to my knees

I'll ride the blustered winds
All my care-free days
Don't think of me a fool
I won't ever change my ways

I'll tame the ways of age
Figure out the road
Keep on jumping all around
Like Spring's hoppy-toad

If Wishes Were...

There are things that I wish for
like; remembering with clarity
where those things that went awry
left the track, and headed for disaster

I wish that I had heeded those inner-voices
and not made poor decisions
and took even poorer actions
Thinking that of all; I was the Master

I wish...I wish...I wish...

Stretching Wings Workshop (rhyme to free verse)

This is the Geezer's rhyming poem

Born To Be Wild
I float upon stormy seas
Forever in my youth
Can't bring me to my knees
I'll ride the blustered winds
All my care-free days
Don't think of me a fool
I won't ever change my ways
I'll tame the ways of age
Figure out the road
Keep on jumping all around
Like Spring's hoppy-toad
So, don't tell me to "Go slower"
I just won't comply
If I say I will, my friend
Just take it for a lie
