You can change it
Just edit your poem like you normally would. You'll see the option to change this below body and above "style / type". This is, however, something we don't expect you to maintain, unless you are 1) submitting the poem for the first time or 2) making a substantial change (which would otherwise justify bumping it to the top of the stream). If you do edit the poem, please only do it to substantially change it -- if you edit, it will go to the top of the stream (which is rude when you aren't actively working on it).

hello
The status is changed by the writer as he/she feels poem evolves. It is unfortunate that many, including myself, don't ever change status through oversight................stan

Sure but...
If the poem and status are stale, we will assume it's on hold for the moment.

LOL
A bit of a hint to update status? Question: does updating status of a poem automatically send it back to head of stream? I am doing enough of that already by making even minor changes to poems and already feel bad enough for doing that................stan

Yes
Any edit bumps a poem to the head of the stream. We might release a way of avoiding this if there is demand.

Idea
Could you submit this idea to the new "idea gallery"? This would be a good test.
